Where Indian Checkouts Lose Customers

Field-by-field analysis of drop-off, and the changes that recover the most orders.

Checkout abandonment is usually blamed on price. Session recordings tell a different story: people leave at specific fields, and those fields are consistent across stores.

The account wall

Forcing registration before checkout is the single largest drop-off point. Guest checkout with an optional account at the end recovers a meaningful share, because the customer has already committed by then and the account feels like a convenience rather than a toll.

Address entry that fights the user

Long address forms with separate fields for area, landmark, city and state, and a PIN code that does not autofill the rest, cause more abandonment than any other single element. Auto-filling city and state from PIN code, allowing a single address line, and remembering saved addresses removes most of the friction.

Payment surprises

Shipping charges revealed only at the final step, COD unavailability discovered after entering everything, and no UPI option are all late surprises. Show delivery cost and available payment methods on the product page, not after three screens of data entry.

Instrument each step separately so you know which field loses people, then fix in that order. Guessing produces redesigns; measuring produces recovered orders.

Every project includes post-launch support. We monitor uptime, apply updates and fix issues quickly — and we offer ongoing maintenance and growth retainers if you want us to keep improving results.

Pricing depends on scope — we quote a fixed price for defined projects and a monthly retainer for ongoing marketing or software work. Every quote is free, itemised and has no hidden costs. Tell us your goals and we'll suggest the best fit.

Yes. We audit what you already have, fix what's holding it back and take it forward — whether it was built in-house or by another agency. We rebuild only when there's a clear reason to, so you keep the value already invested.
