Lead registration rules and brokerage transparency that keep partner relationships healthy.
Channel partners bring volume and, without clear rules, bring disputes over who introduced the buyer. Those arguments consume management time and damage relationships that took years to build.
Lead registration settles ownership
A partner registers a prospect before the introduction, the system timestamps it, and ownership is held for a defined period. Without this, two partners claim the same walk-in and the developer has to choose between them, which loses one either way.
Define the window and what renews it
Registration cannot be indefinite. Set a validity period, state what activity extends it, such as a completed site visit, and let it lapse cleanly otherwise. Ambiguity here is where most disputes actually originate.
Make brokerage visible
Partners chase payment because they cannot see status. A statement showing each booking, the brokerage due, the stage it is at and when it will be paid removes most of the follow-up calls and a great deal of suspicion.
Publish the rules once, apply them without exception, and resist making a special arrangement for a large partner. Every exception becomes the precedent for the next dispute.
