Getting Your Whole Catalogue Indexed

Why Google indexes a fraction of most stores, and the technical fixes that change it.

Large stores routinely discover that Google has indexed a few thousand of their forty thousand product pages. The cause is almost never content quality. It is crawl economics.

Faceted navigation multiplies your site

Every filter combination that produces a unique URL is a page Google may try to crawl. Colour, size, price band and sort order combine into hundreds of thousands of near-identical pages, and the crawler exhausts its budget there instead of reaching your actual products. Canonical tags, robots rules and parameter handling exist to close this off.

A product sitting six clicks from the homepage with one inbound internal link reads as unimportant. Flatter category structures, sensible pagination, and related-product links push authority deeper into the catalogue and give the crawler a path to follow.

Sitemaps as a diagnostic

Split product sitemaps into chunks by category or age and watch indexing rates per file in Search Console. When one segment lags badly, you have isolated the problem rather than guessing at the whole site.

Fix crawl waste first. Adding more content to a site that cannot get its existing pages crawled simply produces more pages nobody sees.

Pricing depends on scope — we quote a fixed price for defined projects and a monthly retainer for ongoing marketing or software work. Every quote is free, itemised and has no hidden costs. Tell us your goals and we'll suggest the best fit.

Yes. We audit what you already have, fix what's holding it back and take it forward — whether it was built in-house or by another agency. We rebuild only when there's a clear reason to, so you keep the value already invested.
