Building a Colour System That Lasts

Accessible contrast, secondary palettes and why one brand colour is never enough.

Most brand palettes are chosen for a homepage and then fall apart the first time someone builds a form, a chart or an error state.

One brand colour is never enough

A working system needs a primary, a supporting accent, a neutral scale from near-white to near-black, and semantic colours for success, warning and error. Without those, teams invent their own reds and greens, and the brand drifts within months.

Check contrast before falling in love

Body text needs a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background, and large text 3:1. Plenty of attractive brand colours cannot carry white text at all, which means either the button label is illegible or someone quietly darkens the brand colour for the web. Decide that deliberately with a darker variant in the palette.

Define tokens, not hex codes

Name colours by role, such as surface, text-muted or accent-strong, rather than by appearance. Roles survive a rebrand and a dark mode; a variable called light-blue does not.

Test the palette on the ugliest screen you have, usually a dense data table or a form full of validation messages. If it holds there, it will hold on the marketing pages.

A standard business website goes live in 2–4 weeks. Custom software and ERP builds run 6–12 weeks depending on scope. We work in fast, transparent iterations so you see progress every week.

Yes. We're based in Bengaluru but work with businesses across India and abroad. Meetings happen over call and video, and everything is managed online — location is never a blocker.

Absolutely. We handle domain registration, secure hosting, SSL and email setup end-to-end, so you get a single point of contact instead of juggling multiple vendors.

Every project includes post-launch support. We monitor uptime, apply updates and fix issues quickly — and we offer ongoing maintenance and growth retainers if you want us to keep improving results.

Pricing depends on scope — we quote a fixed price for defined projects and a monthly retainer for ongoing marketing or software work. Every quote is free, itemised and has no hidden costs. Tell us your goals and we'll suggest the best fit.

Yes. We audit what you already have, fix what's holding it back and take it forward — whether it was built in-house or by another agency. We rebuild only when there's a clear reason to, so you keep the value already invested.
